In late May 2022, we were contacted by a prospective client, inquiring about clearing an old homestead and fixing up an old farm lane to access the property. The client's family had spent three seasons out on the old homestead when she was growing up. She explained, it was here she was taught to hunt, fish, chop wood and also learned to drive in the now overgrown and tree laden fields. Now nearing retirement age, she wanted to return home and build a retirement home on the property.
The client wanted to restore the old fields to their as-she-remembered-them state, keep the majestic hardwood trees that line the circular driveway, and save any ancient apple trees- if there were any left alive.
Looking at the property, we provided a quote for services, and explained that we were so busy it would be at least a month before we could get out to start clearing the land.

The client was extremely happy that day in June when we arrived with the excavator and cleared about two and a half acres in a couple of days. We found and saved six ancient apple trees; demolished a partial building that had been open to the elements for forty-plus years; uncovered the old barn foundation and antique farming equipment used by the client's ancestors buried in the overgrown grass.
